VIM-DS Vacuum Directional Solidification Furnace

Model introduction

The VIM-DS vacuum directional solidification furnace adds two major functions to a conventional vacuum melting furnace: a mold shell heating system and a rapid solidification control system for molten alloy.

This equipment utilizes medium-frequency induction heating to melt materials under vacuum or gas protection conditions. The molten material is then poured into a crucible of a specific shape and heated, held, and temperature-controlled by a resistance or induction heating furnace (with a combined screen). The crucible is then slowly lowered through a region with a large temperature gradient, allowing crystal growth to begin from the bottom of the crucible and gradually move upwards. This product is mainly suitable for producing high-temperature alloys, optical crystals, scintillation crystals, and laser crystals.

Applications:

It is the best equipment for preparing high-quality turbine engine blades, gas turbine blades and other castings with special microstructures, and for preparing single crystal parts of nickel-based, iron-based and cobalt-based ultra-high temperature alloys.

Product Advantages:

Vertical three-chamber structure, semi-continuous production; the upper chamber is the melting and casting chamber, and the lower chamber is the mold loading and unloading chamber; separated by a high-sealing vacuum valve.

Multiple feeding mechanisms ensure secondary addition of alloy materials, enabling semi-continuous melting and casting.

A high-quality variable frequency speed-regulating motor precisely controls the lifting speed of the ingot mold.

Mold shell heating can be either resistance or induction heating, allowing for multi-zone control to ensure the required high thermal gradient.

The rapid solidification device can be selected from bottom water-cooled forced cooling or surrounding oil-cooled tin pot forced cooling.

The entire machine is computer-controlled; the solidification process of the material can be precisely controlled.
