PJ-PSD Plasma nitriding furnace

Plasma nitriding is a glow discharge phenomenon used to strengthen metal surface. Nitrogen ions produced after ionization of nitrogen gas bombards the surface of parts and nitrides them. Ion chemical heat treatment process of nitriding layer on the surface is obtained. It is widely used in cast iron, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and titanium alloy. After plasma nitriding treatment, the hardness of the surface of the material can be significantly improved, which has high wear resistance, fatigue strength, corrosion resistance and burn resistance.

Characteristics:

1) The nitriding speed is faster, the nitriding cycle can be shortened appropriately, and the ionic nitriding time can be shortened to 1/3-2/3 of the gas nitriding time.

2) The brittleness of nitriding layer is small, and the white layer formed on the surface of plasma nitriding is very thin, or even none. In addition, the deformation caused by nitriding layer is small, which is especially suitable for precision parts with complex shapes.

3) Energy and ammonia consumption can be saved. Electric energy consumption is 1/2-1/5 of gas nitriding and ammonia consumption is 1/5-1/20 of gas nitriding.

4) It is easy to realize local nitriding, as long as the part that does not want nitriding does not produce glow, the non-nitriding part is easy to protect, and the glow can be protected by mechanical shielding and iron plate.

5) Ion bombardment can purify the surface and remove passivation film automatically. Stainless steel and heat-resistant steel can be nitrided directly without removing passivation film beforehand.

6) Compound layer structure, infiltration layer thickness and structure can be controlled.

7) The treatment temperature range is wide, and a certain thickness of nitriding layer can be obtained even below 350 C.

8) Labor conditions have been improved. Pollution-free and plasma nitriding treatment is carried out under very low pressure with very little exhaust gas. The gas source is nitrogen, hydrogen and ammonia, and basically no harmful substances are produced.

9) It can be applied to all kinds of materials, including stainless steel, heat-resistant steel with high nitriding temperature, tool steel and precision parts with low nitriding temperature, while low-temperature nitriding is quite difficult for gas nitriding.
